OBJECTIVE
Within this project, I had to develop, design, and animate a title sequence for a film that didn’t feature elaborate opening credits. I chose to take on A24’s Mid90s title sequence and change it from a static black and white opener to a more playful and upbeat one that fit the visual tone of the film.
PLANNING
I started by making mood boards that captured the most vital part of the movie’s setting: 90’s suburbia. I researched print advertisements and motion graphics of the time to gather inspiration for fonts, colors, pop culture, and technology that I could use within the sequence.

EDITING
I edited most of the assets in Photoshop and Illustrator, then imported them into after effects where I was able to bring them to life with movement. I chose a song from the Mid90s soundtrack that aligned with the vibrant theme I was going for, and the beat helped guide me with pacing and accentuated the transitions.
